I started this afghan in April, thinking I'd have it finished by Mother's Day. Not. I was able to send her some progress photos in May. It's a lot of knitting to begin with. But it didn't help that we got evicted in May and had to move, and then it was summer and the sun was shining and who wants to knit when they can be out taking long walks? So I put off knitting for a while until Mom called one day and asked how I was coming on her afghan. Oops! So I finished it and gave it to her when they came out to visit in October. The squares are a pattern I found online, but the design and piecing it together was my own idea.
